Linux, the most popular web server setup due to its open-source platform, is stable, secure, and flexible.

SSD Web Hosting

All of our web hosting is delivered using Solid State Drives (SSD) so your site runs faster and consumes less power over Hard Disk Drives (HDD) – no moving parts!

Managed Web Hosting Questions Answered!

What is Managed Web Hosting?

Managed hosting is one of the services we offer as part of our core suite of website management. Our managed hosting services allow you to focus on building your business instead of security, infrastructure, and back-end issues. We handle all hosting administrative tasks, including setup, ongoing resource monitoring, and website backups.

Which Hosting Type Do I Need?

This will depend on the scope and performance needs of your website, and is something we will discuss in your consultation. For now, most new websites start with our ESSENTIALS platform – as a managed service provider, if the point came where you and your site users would benefit from a different plan, we would reach out to you and discuss those factors.

If you already have a high performing site, or you anticipate the need for the use of extensive resources, then we recommend your site get setup on our PERFORMANCE platform. Our PERFORMANCE core is highly adaptive in that we can upgrade/downgrade your plan as needed (more/less CPU cores, dedicated RAM, etc.) – this way you are only paying for what is optimal for your website.

Are there any fees to change my plan?

If you are changing plans on the same core service platform then there is no cost involved. An example of this is if your site is on the Essential Core 2000 and is downgrading to the Essentials Core 1000 or if your site is on the Performance Core 3000 and is upgrading to Performance Core 4000.

If a site needs to be moved from one core platform to another (Essentials Core to Performance Core or vice versa), a transfer fee of $50 may be assessed because this requires new account creation and full site transfer.

What about Hosting Account (website) Backups?

Advanced backup services are included with ALL of our managed accounts. We use sophisticated software to create full site backups to both local and cloud servers. Many service providers rely on backup systems that only save the file locally to the account (an easier and more affordable solution) – but what if a server emergency that took your site down also damaged that convenient local backup?

We take the protection of your website very seriously, and do everything we can to ensure a quick reversal in that kind of situation. As such, we’ve invested in an advanced system that has a network of redundant backups that regularly creates a series of rolling restore points…just in case.

What kind of security measures and performance expectations come standard?

We offer Solid-State Drives (SSD) on both of our core platforms for faster read/write speeds to support a more efficient delivery of content from your website. SSDs are a type of hard drive that uses no mechanical parts, providing a substantial performance increase from traditional Hard Disk Drives (HDD). Our hosting accounts are monitored and protected against brute force & DDoS attacks, and all files are regularly scanned and patched for vulnerabilities and malware. We also offer maintenance / care plans that provide extra layers of performance enhancement, security, and monitoring.

How Will I Know if I’m Selecting the Right Plan?

Because we offer managed website services, we review every aspect of every client’s account with us. Part of our commitment to you is ensuring you are getting the appropriate level of services for your website – we will not suggest anything that is beyond the scope and requirements of your site, and we will explain why we recommend what we do.

So the short answer is there is no need to worry about determining what is best for your site – we make sure it is in the right place. We are happy to discuss the specifics with you, and you are in control of your services at all time.

What Are the Specific Price Points for the Managed Web Hosting?

Keep in mind that the price points described here are for a bundle of services, and not only managed web hosting – please review the Core Services as a whole when considering our packages.

Still, the type of web hosting that is powering your site is a major contributor to those costs – here is how the plans are organized:

Essentials Core (EC): We offer two EC plans that are Cloud-Based with Solid State Drives. Though they are our “lower” level offerings, nothing we offer is considered “basic” – these bundled high-powered solutions are priced at $35 (EC-1000) and $55 (EC-2000) per month. The difference between the two plans is storage space and bandwidth, with EC-2000 offering twice as much of each.

Performance Core (PC): We offer four PC plans, which provide virtual dedicated server environments to each website. These plans are highly adaptive, so depending on the specific resource needs of your website, we can place you on the optimal plan for your situation.

Below are plan specifics for these bundled dedicated solutions:

  • PC-1000 – $50/mth: RAM-1GB | CPU#-1 | SSD-10GB | DT-1TB
  • PC-2000 – $75/mth: RAM-2GB | CPU#-2 | SSD-15GB | DT- 2.5TB
  • PC-3000 – $125/mth: RAM-8GB | CPU#-4 | SSD-50GB | DT-10TB
  • PC-4000 – $200/mth: RAM-16GB | CPU#-6 | SSD-140GB | DT-20TB
